Set of 4 Pistons and Cylinder Liners, complete with gudgeon pins and piston rings, for 105 series NORD engines. Available for all 1300, 1600, 1750, and 2000 engine models, allowing you to select the exact size needed for your rebuild.

Each kit is manufactured to exacting standards to ensure optimal fitment, durability, and performance. Trusted for use in all engine rebuilds at VeloceSport, these piston and liner sets are the ideal choice whether you're restoring originality or upgrading for performance

    • 1300 Engine: 74mm Piston Diameter (9.0:1 CR)
    • 1600 Engine: 78mm Piston Diameter (9.0:1 CR)
    • 1750 Engine: 80mm Piston Diameter (9.0:1 CR)
    • 2000 Engine - Standard: 84mm Piston Diameter (9.0:1 CR)
    • 2000 High Compression (Performance): 84mm Piston Diameter (10.4:1 CR)
    • 2000 Motronic (Fuel Injection): 84mm Piston Diameter (10.0:1 CR) – as originally fitted to the Alfa Romeo S4 Spider (1990–1993)

High Compression Options (2000 Engines)


For those building a performance focused engine, we also offer high compression pistons in both 10.0:1 and 10.4:1 variants for 2000cc Nord engines.

Benefits of Higher Compression:

  • Increased Power & Torque
    Higher compression improves combustion efficiency and torque response. Estimated gains compared to standard 9.0:1 compression pistons:
    • Motronic Pistons – 10.0:1 Compression
      • As fitted to the Alfa Romeo S4 Spider (1990–1993)
      • Safe for use with standard carbs, cams, and distributor setup
      • Approximate power increase of 4–5 bhp, resulting in 134–135 bhp
      • Plug-and-play with high octane fuel (97+ RON)
    • High Compression Pistons – 10.4:1 Compression
      • Approximate power increase of 7–8 bhp, resulting in 137–138 bhp
      • Can be used with a standard setup if super unleaded fuel is used and ignition timing is adjusted carefully
      • Strongly recommended to pair with mild performance camshafts and/or programmable ignition (e.g. 123 Ignition) to fully unlock performance and drivability
      • Ideal for fast road or track builds targeting 160–200 bhp
  • More Efficient Combustion
    Extract more energy from the fuel-air mixture, leading to improved throttle response and potential gains in fuel efficiency under light loads.
  • Compatible with Modern Fuels
    Designed to make the most of today’s 97–99 RON premium unleaded fuels, ensuring smooth performance and knock resistance.
  • Perfect for Tuned Engines
    These pistons work especially well when combined with ported cylinder heads, performance camshafts, and mapped ignition/fuel systems (e.g. Jenvey throttle bodies, programmable ECUs).
